WHAT IS MESOTHERAPY?

Mesotherapy is a minimally invasive cosmetic procedure that involves injecting small amounts of various substances into the middle layer of the skin (mesoderm) to treat a variety of conditions, including cellulite, localized fat deposits, hair loss, and skin aging.

Originally developed in France in the 1950s, mesotherapy has gained popularity worldwide as a non-surgical option for improving skin appearance and addressing specific cosmetic concerns.

During a mesotherapy session, a healthcare provider typically uses a fine needle to inject a customized cocktail of vitamins, minerals, amino acids, enzymes, and other active ingredients into the targeted area of the skin. The specific ingredients and their concentrations vary depending on the patient’s needs and the desired treatment outcome. Mesotherapy is believed to work by delivering nutrients and other beneficial substances directly to the skin, stimulating collagen production, improving circulation, and promoting cellular regeneration. This can help improve skin tone and texture, reduce the appearance of cellulite and localized fat deposits, and encourage hair growth in areas affected by hair loss. Mesotherapy sessions are usually performed in a medical office setting and can take anywhere from a few minutes to an hour, depending on the size of the treatment area and the number of injections required. Multiple sessions may be needed to achieve optimal results, and treatments are typically spaced several weeks apart.

While mesotherapy is generally considered safe when performed by a qualified healthcare provider, it may carry some risks, including bruising, swelling, redness, and rare instances of infection or allergic reactions. It’s essential to consult with a healthcare provider to determine if mesotherapy is an appropriate treatment option for your specific cosmetic concerns.
